Our College

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering

Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE), a premier self-financing engineering college was started in the year 1985 and is managed by Sri Venkateswara Educational and Health Trust. The college attained autonomous status in 2016. SVCE has 12 under graduate and 7 post graduate programmes in Engineering and Technology. The college has 11 research centers recognized by the Anna University, Chennai, which cater to MS (by Research) and Ph.D programmes. The courses are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A+ grade. The college is also certified by IRQS for ISO 9001:2015.

The Event

UPAGRAHA '22

The flagship technical symposium of the ECE department of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering is back as a two-day fest with new and exciting events. Upagraha 22 will enhance the technical knowledge of students from various engineering colleges and provide them with a platform to exhibit their talents. It helps students to identify and understand the various aspects and provides them with opportunities to develop their versatility and charisma in the divergent aspects of their growth.


Upagraha '22

The department of ECE of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering is proud to launch Its National level Tech Symposium, with the prime focus of encouraging young tech enthusiasts to engage in vigorous research and take engineering to a whole new level. Upagraha '22 will act as a platform to exchange ideas and scientific knowledge through intense professional interaction. We believe this will lead to an inocuum of utilitarian ideas in various fields, not restricted to electronics!

DAY 1

RC RACE

Build, Race, Break and fix!!

Fasten your seats and tighten your belts.... You certainly cannot be at fast and furious but here is a chance to showcase the Vin Diesel in you. It’s an opportunity coming your way for all wheelers! Build your best car model to race it against all.

RULES

• Participation as a team of 3-4 members.
• Participants must bring custom made and self-built cars.
• Ground clearance must be at least 5 cm.
• Track completion time will be noted for judgement.

MINI HACKATHON

6 hours to Success.

Hack the crisis – from idea to execution in only 6 hours. The longest battle of Upagraha’22 - Mini Hackathon, aims to put your exploratory technical and coding skills to test. Devise solutions to problem statements you choose. Simulate and win!

• Participation as a team of 2-4 members.
• Participants will be shortlisted based on abstract submitted during registration.
• All the members of the team must bring their own components for working and display.
• The Project can be purely of hardware or software or an integration of both.

• ROUND 01: A short Quiz will be held to shortlist teams to Round 02.
• ROUND 02: In the final round, the selected teams will participate in the treasure hunt.

RULES

• A team consisting of a maximum of 2 people can participate.
• Participants must bring a completely autonomous line-follower robot. The robot should not have features with which it can be controlled remotely.
• If and whenever the robot wanders off the path, it'll be reset to its last position on the path and three seconds will be added to the total time.
